Forgive the abscence.

Indeed it has been a while! Nearly four months, and much has taken place during those interceding months. After considerable thought, l have decided, to post a few of the events that may be of general interest.

The first topic l wish to discuss concerns the untrustworthy nature of online "job adverts".

The second topic l want to discuss concerns online job portals / sites, and the discovery of one that actually works!

Adecco... Did l join Adecco? No... What is going on? Why am l an Adecco member? Don't think so...

This post starts with a surprise email from Adecco (UK), that "international HR company", and it made me speculate, that all the while, l was looking for work online, l was conversing with Adecco (UK). They contacted me because of regulatory changes. I have had a jaded relationship with online job portals. While l had attempted to "join" Monster from Cyprus in 2012, looking for work, all my job applications never got answered, and l stopped seeking work sometime in late 2013. After the intriguing email, l asked Adecco, l mean l had to beg Adecco to send me my profile. It contained a lot of interesting information, such as how many applications l had made (a lot...), and from where, etc... It was a pretty comprehensive profile. Employment Agencies: Online "Automatic Answering Machines" or "Robots"

Yes lets talk about Robots... Not the South African kind - those are just plan traffic signals... Look l am no techie, but this is what l know, and l would like you to take care... out there, on the "WWW"... Online jobs are fake. We really need to stop going to online websites looking for jobs. I spent about six months of my life, dedicated, to sending CV's out online, adapting them and rewriting them to "fit" the HR company's requests, and then posting these "new CV's" to online job boards, for "specific" jobs. It never ends, l think l may have rewritten my CV on countless occasions, to fit the "profile" advertised. I believe during that six month period, l sent over 1000 CV's (that is no joke), and l got a handful of positive replies, in the two dozen, followed by five "interviews".
